Cycling again

Hallelujah - my period has finally arrived! Well to be correct, it arrived on Saturday morning, right on time to play holy hell on my body during my weekend workout, but nonetheless it is here. I have started on my Progynova tablets 3 times a day and have an ultrasound and blood test booked for Tuesday 7th April. Here's hoping that our last frostie is going to be 'the one'.

Sick

I really hate being sick. I've felt off colour the last week and have now had the runs for four days. I woke up this morning vomiting, so I went to the doctor - of course it's gastro. Just what I wanted for my weekend.

I also managed to put my back and neck out at work yesterday. Double yay.

Show & Tell

I got to see my little nieces and nephew on Friday! It was bitter-sweet, especially when they had to go, but I am so grateful that I got to spend some time with them. It was Charlotte's 1st birthday and we went to Hungry Jack's to celebrate.

Charlotte was unhappy the whole time, you could see how panicked she was, she wouldn't let anyone hold her except Alicia, and whenever she was in her highchair she would scream if she couldn't see Alicia. It was actually quite distressing. Lulu and Jordan on the other hand have flourished. They have grown up so quickly, Lulu is pretty much fully toilet trained and is going to kindy, Jordan is such a confident little kid! I made sure I got lots of cuddles and special time with each child.

And now for some photos of the day.

Just the usual

No AF, No change in fertility status. But that's okay.
I can't believe how well I am functioning outside of my fertility - it's such a foreign feeling to be in control and happy. I'm starting to like it :-)

I have been given an opportunity to act in a senior role starting tomorrow for a couple of weeks, while a friend goes on holiday. It's a huge jump in pay and responsibility (the position is three levels above my own!) but I am really looking forward to the challenge. Also the fact that for all my whinging, my boss offered it to me above anyone else because she knows I am capable - that feels really good, a nice boost for my self confidence.

I have been slack with going to the gym and my diet though, which is something that I will have to pick up again after this week.

I get to see my little nieces and nephew on Friday - absolutely hanging out to see them and give them huge squishy cuddles!

Oops

Forgot to update with the results of my bloodtest. My estrogen levels were really low and no sign of ovulation so the doctor has put me on the pill for three weeks which will hopefully induce a bleed so we can start our FET cycle. Currently on day 53 of my cycle which is driving me up the wall, but I guess at least something is being done about it now.

Blood test

I called the clinic today to get a blood test done to check what is going on with my cycle. Day 49 today and still nothing happening... Still feeling quite strong mentally which is really refreshing. Uni is keeping my mind busy and work keeps the rest of me occupied so that's all good. Much better than the heap I had fallen in a couple of months ago.

I'm still on a high from the weekend, so much so that I've already started planning my next triahlon! I think I want to give a long course triathlon a go - there is one in November which would be ideal, so if I'm not pregnant (God forbid...) then I am going to do it.

Well I did it

My first triathlon that is! I wont get the official time until the website is updated tonight, but I think I did it in around 43 minutes which I'm really happy with. ETA - Just got my time - 42:05 - much less than my goal of under 45!

The swim was extra salty and rough - everyone got kicked a couple of times I think, but I found my rhythm early on which helped. The cycle was HARD! I am not a good cyclist so this is where I got overtaken by most other people. The run was pretty tough after all of that but I managed to run flat out for the first half, had a 50m walking break and then ran the rest of the way to the end. Transitions were easier then I had imagined thank goodness, I was worried that everyone else was going to miraculously transition and leave me in the dust but I beat a heap of people out.

And now for show and tell... (And don't forget to check out the rest of the show and tell gang)

Setting up my bike in the transition area

All goggled up!

Starting to get nervous!

All over and done!
